INTRODUCTION

 

The Department of Pediatrics was established in the year 2013 under the headship of Dr. Jayant  Prakash.. In a short journey of 3 years the Department of Paediatrics was raised from dust to one of the most

well equipped department of this prestigious institute of the state.

 

Department of Paediatrics is actively involved in training   MBBS, B. Sc Nursing and B. Sc. (MLT) students in both theoretical as well as practical aspects of Paediatrics. The theoretical aspects are supplemented by technological innovations in teaching Paediatrics. The Department of Paediatrics has achieved a milestone as the establishment of state of art level 3 NICU.

Infrastructure & Facilities: 

  1. OPD:. The department is running paediatrics OPD in Room no. 19 and 20 o9f Main OPD Block. We are running speciality OPD six days a week (In Room no.19),a first of its kind in Bihar.

  1. Indoor Facility: We have round the clock facility of resident caring for admitted babies.
  1. Library: A well stocked library with 50 books and over 100 volumes of scientific journals of different field. The department is free Wi-Fi zone which helps the faculty members and students to get instant access to internet for educational purpose
